Shidan 「シダーン Shidān」[1] is a rogue mage and a member of the Eye of the Midnight Sun.[2]

Biography
Asta knocks out Shidan.
Fana leads the Eye of the Midnight Sun's forces in an assault on the Witches' Forest.[3] When Salamander destroys the giant Security Golem, Shidan compliments Fana's strength and then orders his men to capture the stronger witches so they can be made slaves.[4] Shidan has caught three witches for himself when the Black Bulls arrive on the battlefield. Vanessa Enoteca throws Asta up toward the mages, and Shidan watches as the boy uses the mages as stepping stones after knocking them out. When Asta reaches the top, Shidan attacks him and is surprised as Asta cuts through the spell. Asta then brings the Demon-Slayer Sword down onto Shidan's head, knocking him unconscious.[5]
Months later, after Patolli places the last magic stone in the sephirot, the Eye of the Midnight Sun members are all sacrificed. Their bodies burn up as their mana and souls are extracted.[6]
