Ki 「氣」 is the flow of life energy in people. Although it exists separate from mana, they can influence each other.[1][2]
Overview[]
Ki is the flow of life energy within people's bodies, including humans, elves, and devils, and is affected by their thoughts and actions.[1] The quality of a person's ki is influenced by their emotions and intents, such as people with tumultuous emotions have equally chaotic ki[3] and those filled with malice have unsettling ki.[4]
Each individual's ki is unique, and it is rare for different individuals' ki to be the same.[5][6]
Sensing[]
With proper training, ki-sensing can be used as an additional sense to predict attacks and others' movements,[1][7] including natural objects and events found in nature.[8][9] It can even locate invisible people.[10]
By tracking another person's ki, a sensor can detect whether or not that person is lying.[11]
Manipulation[]
Mages unconsciously manipulate their ki when generating their magic power. By deliberately manipulating their ki, some mages can temporarily boost their magic power and physical strength.[12][2][13]
