Humans 「人間 Ningen」 are the dominant race in the world, occupying the major kingdoms and lands.
Overview
While humans generally have weaker magic than the elves, they are more populous,[1] more advanced technologically,[2] and have more varied physical characteristics, with varied heights and skin and hair colors. Human magic also tends to be more technical.[3]
Animosity grew between the humans and elves due to jealousy,[1] and ultimately a group of Clover Kingdom human nobles stole the elves' mana for themselves and then killed the elves,[4] which was later revealed to be the plan of the devil Zagred who manipulated them in order to gain a body and a grimoire.
500 years later, when the reincarnation of the elves began, humans whose ancestors stole the elves' mana were possessed by the souls of elves.
