Karna's Aim 「カルナの狙い Karuna no Nerai」 is the 34th chapter of Tashiro Yumiya's Black Clover Side-Story: Quartet Knights.

Summary

Julius Novachrono apologizes to Nozel Silva, Jack the Ripper, and Charlotte Roselei for calling them out here again, and thanks them for guarding the stone tablets. Charlotte apologizes to Julius for failing their mission, to which Julius replies that it is alright since the enemy was the Eye of the Midnight Sun. Nozel informs Julius that the stone tablet was already destroyed by the time he had gotten to the dungeon, and that he was not able to capture the members of the Eye of the Midnight Sun. Jack comments that he was fooled, that the dungeon was already destroyed by the time he arrived, and that he will slice whoever did that himself. Julius tells Jack to calm down for a bit.

William Vangeance suddenly shows up and apologizes for being late. William comments about how they had a hard time during the mission, and that Karna and the Eye of the Midnight Sun have gotten out of hand. Nozel comments about how William is always late and wonders just what William is doing. William replies that he has lots of things to do. Julius tells them that they are going to discuss their next step. Marx explains to everyone that the mana of the Grand Magic Zones are bursting, since the stone tablets were destroyed, and that it would take a month to restore the stones. Julius tells the others that he would like them all to share any info about the enemy with each other, to which Yami Sukehiro agrees. Julius tells the others that Yami and the Black Bulls were looking for Karna and now he will share information about Karna with them.

Yami tells them that ringleader of these incidents Karna's father, Freese the Seer, and that he is controlling Karna's body with a magic pendant that Karna is wearing. Charlotte wonders if it is actually possible to do such a thing. Julius tells her that anything is possible with magic tools and that it is confirmed at this point. Julius tells them that the previous destroyed members of the Eye of the Midnight Sun, Vetto and Fana, are revived because of Karna's own power. Julius also says that Asta's Anti Magic was not effective and that the magic tool appeared to have some special mana. Marx comments about how Karna's young appearance could also be a result of the effect of the magic tool. Julius then says that the real problem is what Karna and the Eye of the Midnight Sun are planning. Yami tells them that Freese said, "The night of the crimson moon, Clover Kingdom will be destroyed." Nozel figures that the crimson moon is when the moon turns bright red, which happens once every 100 years, along with the mana of the world is concentrated. Charlotte comments about how the mana is concentrated which is impossible.

Julius says that Freese wants to collect the mana from the Grand Mana Zone and will destroy the Royal Capital during the crimson moon. Julius also says that he does not fully understand it, but her actions are consistent with that. Jack wonders if they can realistically do that, and Nozel says that is not possible by considering that size of the Grand Magic Zone. William says that they will need to protect the Royal Capital and its surroundings. William then asks when the attack is coming. Julius replies that the attack will be coming tomorrow.
