Devils or demons 「悪魔 Akuma」[1] are an ancient race of magical beings.[2]
Overview
Devils are generally large and humanoid in appearance with bat-like wings, horns, and pointed teeth. Some devils also possess tails as well as multiple limbs and eyes.
Known Devils
- Demon God 「魔神 Majin」: This giant devil attacked the Clover Kingdom but was defeated by the First Magic Emperor. Its skull was made into a memorial on the outskirts of Hage village.[2]
- Asta's Devil: This devil is trapped within Licht's grimoire, turning it into a five-leaf clover. This devil uses Anti Magic and channels its power through the Anti Magic Weapons into Asta.[3]
- Ronne's Devil: This devil masterminded the corruption of Licht's grimoire into a five-leaf grimoire, the human royals' plot to kill the Elf Tribe and steal their mana, and the reincarnation of the elves.[4] It possesses the reincarnated Ronne to oversee Patolli completing the ritual to summon its body from the underworld.[5] It uses Kotodama Magic.[6]
