Summary

Following Vanessa Enoteca's desire to help Yami Sukehiro, Rouge changed fate, enabling Grey to transmute the rubble into plants and to crawl near Yami. While repairing his body, she noted that his body had changed: devil-like in parts and overflowing with magic power. Once repaired, Yami created a Black Moon and thanked his subordinates for their help. They were then visited by Patolli, Langris Vaude, and William Vangeance. Patolli wanted to help in the fight but could not due to his lack of a grimoire. William then handed Yami a Mistilteinn Blade, into which he had poured his remaining magic power. Accepting the sword, Yami considered it repayment for William's involvement with the elves and suggested that they share a drink when they get back to the Clover Kingdom.

Lucifero recognizes that Yami was the Dark Magic user, and the force of the devil's punch sends Yami and Nacht Faust flying back. Lucifero turns his attention back to Asta, but Zora Ideale and Secre Swallowtail, with Rouge's help, jump in front of the punch and combine their magic to reflect and trap the devil for a brief time. When Yami and Nacht land, the latter pleads for Yami to escape and let him die due to his guilt over his past self and Morgen's death. Yami refuses because he wants Nacht to help people like Morgen and because friends do not need reasons to save each other. Yami and Nacht then remembered Morgen pointing out their similarities and being slightly jealous of their affinity. Nacht and Yami bicker over the childishness of Yami's sentiment but stand united to take on the King of Devils.
