The Road to the Wizard King 「魔法帝への道 Mahōtei e no Michi」 is the 3rd Page of Yūki Tabata's Black Clover.
Summary[]
The final test continues. It's finally Yuno's turn to fight. He is challenged by a mage from the Clover Kingdom's nobility, Salim of House Hapshass. Yuno attains an overwhelming victory, which surprises everyone, including Asta.[1]
At the end of the exam, William Vangeance explains that the examinees can become Magic Knights if any of the nine captains request them for their squad. After performing remarkably during the exam, all nine captains express interest in having Yuno under their command. Yuno chooses the strongest squad, the Golden Dawn, led by William. Eventually, it is Asta's turn but none of the captains have any interest in him. Yami Sukehiro explains that it is because of the irregular magic that Asta is using. The Black Bull's captain then starts to intimidate him to test his resolve, but Asta remains unfazed. Impressed with the boy's resolution, Yami invites Asta into his squad.[2]
Later on, Asta rushes off to use the toilet. Sekke Bronzazza, who was accepted into a low-ranked squad, tries to land a sneak attack on Asta, but Yuno intercepts and crushes it, protecting his foster brother. After that, Asta meets up with his new captain and squadmate. They travel to the Black Bull's base to meet the rest of the squad members.[3]
