The Sound of the End 「終焉の音 Shūen no Oto」 is the 299th Page of Yūki Tabata's Black Clover.

Summary

Megicula explains that they have lost the means to defeating the devil since Saint Stage has come undone. Even if Noelle Silva managed to unleash more Saint Stage attacks, they would never reach Megicula since Decaying World has covered the entire area. Megicula also mentions how no one can come help them since its spell would stop or weaken them if they come. Megicula says that that is reason enough for them to give up and that this was fun.

As Noelle is frustrated, Gadjah releases some lightning, which Noelle and Undine notice. Gadjah apologizes to Lolopechka and uses his Pulsaranta spell to paralyze her for a few seconds. As Gadjah removes Lolopechka's arm from his stomach, he remembers how he vowed to protect the Heart Kingdom from their enemies but failed when Lolopechka was cursed. Afterwards Gadjah apologized to Lolopechka for what happened, but Lolopechka said that it was because of Gadjah that no one in the kingdom was hurt. Gadjah then thinks about how he is unfit to be a Spirit Guardian because of what has happened to Lolopechka.

As Gadjah charges at Megicula, he thinks about how he wanted to protect Lolopechka more than the kingdom and he will not let the devil kill her. Gadjah also thinks about how he will not die from the wound Lolopechka gave him and that he will convert his life into magic in order to destroy Megicula. Gadjah decides to save Lolopechka right here and now, and uses his Ultimate Lightning Magic spell, Apocalypra Astrauza, against Megicula but avoids Vanica Zogratis. Megicula notices that its Decaying World spell cannot erase the attack completely and its body starts to crumble.

Noelle sees this and starts to charge, and thinks about how she just needs enough Saint Stage power to pierce Megicula's exposed weak point. Suddenly Noelle sees a charred Gadjah and a shadow in the dust.
