Shadows of Night 「夜の影 Yoru no Kage」 is the 261st Page of Yūki Tabata's Black Clover.
Summary
At a hospital in the Clover Kingdom's capital, Owen examines Asta using his Qualle Operation spell.[1] After examining Asta, Own tells Finral, Vanessa, Gauche, and Grey that Asta's life is not in danger. Owen also says that he doesn't know what has happened to Asta's arm and he can't do anything about it. Owen then explains he would like other recovery mages take a look but that the Golden Dawn was decimated. Owen says that he is just glad that they only suffered minor injuries, which Finral replies that Asta and Yami had protected them.
Grey asks Owen to take a look at Gauche, which Owen decides to examine Gauche. After taking a look, Owen wonders if Gauche was really run through with a giant sword. Owen says that Gauche's healing was beyond recovery and that Gauche's tissue has been reassembled.[2] Owen then speculates that Grey's magic may not be Transformation Magic. Owen tells them that their will be a captain's meeting later and that they should rest up.
Later Asta wakes up and notices his arm. Suddenly Yami's katana appears from his Grimoire, which Asta is shocked by this. Asta remembers what had happened, and leaves the hospital. As Asta makes it outside, he suddenly notices that he can't move anymore. A person appears behind Asta and asks where he is going. Asta wonders who that is and if its their magic that is restraining him. Asta says that he has to go save Yami, but the person says that he can't. The person explains how Asta was no match for a Devil Host on his own and that their are two others who are just a strong as Dante where Asta is trying to go. The person also says that the Devil that Asta is relying on has given up on him and that Asta doesn't even understand his own arm very well. The person explains how going there is not courageous but just stupid and reckless.
Asta wonders about the guy and says that he has to go since he is worried about Yami. The person tells Asta to just leave Yami, which Asta replies by asking what they know about Yami. The person says that he know about Yami and explains how Yami is not a decent human being, which Asta thinks about how Yami was helpful to him.[3] The person then says that Yami is an idiot if he lost, which Asta becomes angry and summons his Demon-Destroyer Sword to undo the person's magic. Asta tries to attack with his Demon-Dweller Sword, but the person easily restrains Asta with their magic. The person says a human who can't defeat him won't be able to rescue Yami. Asta remembers what the Devil had told him and starts to cry while saying that if he was stronger. The person calls Asta a fool but says that he like him since he is a good person. Suddenly horns appears on the person's head, while the person tells Asta to not to worry since Yami is still alive. Asta notices that the person has the Weg curse, and asks who the person is. The person reveals that he is the Vice-captain of the Black Bulls, Nacht, and that he will teach Asta how to use the Devil's power.
