Summary

William thinks about how he had known that there was someone slumbering within his body when he became aware of the world around him. William had felt that Patolli was deeply wounded, along with being filled with rage and anger. William thought that he had to protect Patolli, along with never feeling alone since he shared his body with Patolli. It was also because of this that William was able to survive his childhood. At age 9, William started to dream about Patolli's happy days as an elf along with the hatred and despair during his end. This is when William decided that it was his duty to protect Patolli. At age 13, William met the first person to acknowledge him, Julius. As Julius suggested William join the Magic Knights, he decided to devote his grimoire to Julius. When William was making wakes as a rookie Magic Knight, William was convinced that he was sharing his body when Patolli awakened. As time went on William and Patolli learned to communicate with each other and even switch places with each other. William then learned that Patolli had a mission he had to fulfill, even if it meant betraying Julius. William became confused with the fact that if he had chosen one, he would be betraying the other one. William decided to let the two chose, with Patolli winning in the end. William then apologizes to Julius while congratulating Patolli. William then says that it is now time they part ways and bids Patolli farewell.

Patolli suddenly wakes up and figures that he was asleep because he had overused his magic. Patolli finds out that his reincarnation has been completed and that William has gone into a deep slumber. Patolli thanks William and bids him farewell, while leaving his grimoire behind. As Patolli walks away, he thinks about how there are no human that he cannot kill. Patolli then thinks about how Licht and the other are heading to the capital and has to hurry there. Patolli comments about how the Clover Castle is were the detestable royalty live and the final destination of their revenge is. Patolli then leaves to head to the castle.

After Patolli leaves, Rades's magic suddenly activates and Rades is resurrected. It is explained that when Rades was sacrificed, as an act of self-preservation and his intense hatred for those who betrayed him, his magic of corpse manipulation evolved into soul manipulation. Rades notices Patolli in the distance and proclaims that he will never forgive Patolli for what he had done to him. Rades then revives Sally and Valtos and says that they will go kill Patolli together.

At Hecairo, Asta has freed the elves while the Black Bulls cheer. Asta suddenly notices that Sally, Valtos, and Rades has appeared before them. Rades then says that they are going to use the Black Bulls for their revenge.
