Is Asta's mom name Licita or Richita?

In the series, Asta's mother was revealed to be a woman named Richita. She was revealed to be able to suck out the magic and life force of anyone she came into contact with. Given the fact that Richita can absorb the magic and life force of anyone she comes in contact with, I can't help but wonder: is she the reason why Asta didn't have any magic? Is it possible that Asta was born with magic; but Richita may've accidentally sucked it out when she came into contact with him? Is that possible? What do you think?

You know, his father wasn't shown raises the question of did Richita have him out of wedlock or became a widow after being married to him for a few days so what are your opinions?

I've been thinking about this for a while now and am hoping someone would be able to help me out.

Has it been established whether or not Licita knew that Asta was born without the capability to hold mana/use magic? Because she gave him up to protect him from her. But if Asta doesn't have any magic, he would be unaffected by her curse and they could have been living together the entire time. Was this just a case of dramatic irony?

Their personality is basically the same and they even look the same. It doesn't explain Licita's magic, but the resemblance is too perfect to be overlooked.

And if Allen does have fire magic, then if Licita didn't suck Asta's magic when he was a kid he would've inherited maybe Salamander/at least another type of magic that involves fire or something completely different like sucking fire magic from other mages.

1. Large magic power but didn't have an attribute like Ladros,

2. The ability to drain lifeforce and magic power like his mother but he could control it

3. The ability to absorb magic attacks and release the collected magic at will just like Ladros.

4. The ability to learn and use all magic forms in exchange for having no magic attributes.

5. The ability to cast spells without Grimorie. (means he didn't need a grimoire)

Notes: Those 5 things happened at the same time.

And right when I came to it . . . . anyway, I suggest you read the manga, the art style is awesome.

She left him because she thought she would drain his magic without knowing that Asta doesn't have magic. So Asta lived without his mother for nothing? This is so dramatic and heartbreaking. And saddest thing is the devil he is working with lived the life he was supposed to live. Yeah Asta had Father and Sister taking care of him but it can't be equal to having a mother. Sigh... :'(

Even though we just met Asta’s mom and saw here a little bit this episode her death still hits hard

Did you know: Liebe means love, Asta means to stay and Licita means auction, allowable. Licita can also mean affectionate, loving, warm, fond, kind!

(Prediction) Asta and Liebe might be fighting partners against the dark triad like (Naruto and Sasuke)

(Prediction) Asta will probably use his swords to throw them and teleport to them by manipulating his anti-magic from his arm going in shadows faster than time and light magic itself and go throw the shadows from the sword as well.

They both have a relation to Licita, so wouldn't that make them brothers in a sense?

First she would drag not only mana but life force it was for his own safety . Asta was given to father osari care for good reason even the father osari would what she did required a lot of courage.

I learned that Liebe's name means love in German so Licita was basically calling liebe love and I found that really adorable.

The first thing I wondered when Asta's mom was revealed was "Why did she abandon him?" Then I realized that she probably didn't want to kill her child since she passively sucks other mana away. She probably felt grief that she wouldn't get to see her child grow and raised Liebe as a way to forgive herself. I also realized that there was no biological father for Asta, so I am assuming that either Licita killed him or that he left her as soon as he heard about her condition. Either way, these are just assumptions that were in my head as I continue to progress through the manga.
